Your Wedding Photography Experience

How I Document Your Wedding Day

Your wedding photographs serve as a visual record of the day’s events — the planned milestones and the spontaneous interactions between you and your guests. Creating a consistent history of these moments requires a specific professional framework. Below is how I structure my work to ensure your gallery is both technically secure and true to the atmosphere of the day.

Technical Infrastructure

The reliability of your gallery depends on invisible preparation. My process includes using silent shutters to remain discreet during the ceremony, natural-looking lighting for dark venues, and a multi-layered backup system to ensure every image is securely captured and archived.
The Goal: To handle the technical complexities so that the photography remains a quiet, functioning part of the background.

Observational Instinct

Many of the most significant images from a wedding are unscripted. Rather than directing the day, I use "reportage" techniques — careful observation honed over hundreds of events — to anticipate moments as they unfold. This allows me to be in the right position for a candid exchange without interrupting the natural flow of the celebration.

The Post-Production Process

The work continues after the wedding ends. I review the hundreds of frames captured to identify the images that best represent the day's narrative. Each selected photograph is individually colour-graded and processed to ensure the final collection is a cohesive and high-resolution visual history.

Package Inclusions

All of the following options are modular and include the essential components of a professional service:
Comprehensive Coverage: Group portraits as requested and all milestone events (speeches, cake cutting, etc.).

Whole of The Day Wedding Photography Packages

For couples who are ‘pushing the boat out’ and want everything on their wedding day captured in photographs. Packages to choose from allow tailoring of the details — inclusion of prep and pre-wedding sessions. They all cover the arrivals at the wedding venue through to the evening.

Whole of The Day

There are some very good reasons why some couples need to have photography for the ‘whole of the day’.

A large number of guests takes longer to photograph with reportage techniques because not everyone is being photogenic the whole of the time! Different parts of the day get different reactions. For some it is only at the late night party when the dance floor becomes the natural environment for the guest who loves to get their groove on.

As a record of the day different events happening each need to be adequately represented in the photographic report - dancing, cake-cutting, limbo competition, speeches, arrivals, prep... and any innovative activities that you might invent to give you and your guests the best memories.

Special Day Wedding Photography Packages

The Special Day packages started as bespoke creations for couples in the past. It can be hard work finding the right photography for your wedding because there are so many things to keep in balance, and creating these packages has solved those problems and proved that there's a meeting place for dreams and reality!
It is very normal for me to create a bespoke photography package for every client. No two weddings are exactly the same, and no two couples will have exactly the same wishes.

Heart of The Day Wedding Photography Packages

The Heart packages make photography of a high standard available to couples who will appreciate it and are having a less extensive event. These can be a good fit for ceremonies at a registry office and can free up your budget for the tailor, the jeweller, the travel agent or the estate agent. By limiting the number of photos you can focus your choices to the best time and the best memories.

Printed Photographs of all shapes and sizes

Everyone knows how important it is to get photos of your wedding, but to get the most from those magical moments they need to be available to see on a whim. Printed wedding albums still endure as the most enjoyable way to share with friends or recall on your own the feelings of the day — see them without power, without a password and without any need for ‘mobile reception’.

Wedding Albums

Wedding Albums are designed individually for each couple so that what you imagine will be made. The following examples of sizes and extents are for the designed, printed and delivered albums. The additional duplicate and reduced-size albums should be ordered with the main copy and are identical in shape and extent, just smaller.
Wedding Albums are handmade in the UK to the highest standard. They will endure handling for many years, outlasting generations, eternally ready to be adored.

Photobooks

Photobooks do a similar job to wedding albums using a different aesthetic.
They are casebound hard-backed books with tough spines. The pages are heavyweight paper pre-printed with the photography and design enabling you to 'leaf' through them — a different experience to the unbending pages of an album. They take up less space on a shelf and are lighter overall than a traditional album.
